This is my first attempt at blogging and it's sort of by accident! As I was trying to post a comment on one friend's blogsite, I somehow hit some buttons which had me creating my own! So here I am (sort of reluctantly!) Then I had the bright thought (could it be God?) that with the prayer requests I am always receiving and sending to everyone, perhaps this would be a better way to post them... I'm not sure how it will work (suggestions welcome!). My initial thought is that perhaps when I receive a request by email, (I'm not going to post my email address here for privacy reasons but most of you have it) I could post the requests here and you guys could just periodically check the site for prayer needs. I don't know if anyone will think to check it or if email is a better way, but please humor me and let's tentatively experiment with this. If it doesn't pan out, we'll go back to email... But I'm going to give it a shot. How about you? Who knows how this will evolve!
So for my first prayer request, I want to ask ya'll to continue to pray for George Waites, our friend who has pancreatic cancer. You can check out his blogsite at http://shadowofalmighty.blogspot.com/. Pray for his recovery after major surgery and for complete healing. Also for his family and for them to continue to walk in strength, peace, faith and hope. They are truly amazing and have been a true example of praising the Lord in the good times AND the hard times.
